Back to the Lost Luggage Lounge

Over the Easter Weekend of 2001, the Robin and Bill joined the Bailey family in Sulfur Springs, West Virginia, for a long weekend at the Greenbrier Resort.  We rented one of the luxurious guest cottages along Baltimore Row.  Once the summer retreat of General Robert E. Lee, these guest houses have a great view of the North Lawn. 

The cottage was enormous, with 2 large bedrooms, a kitchen, and a living area with a wonderful fireplace that we kept going as much as possible.  We set up the Scrabble game immediately.

The porch was perfect for relaxing and sipping champagne (although Mimi had to have a non-alcoholic variant because she was pregnant at the time!

On the evening of Bill's Birthday, we drank and dined our way through the various eateries, and then replenished with spa treatments the next day...
